Thank You so much Gabe3. I been getting the same error all day and then found this. I also use NOD32 and when I tried this, I was able to connect. It had to do with Nods latest update, because I was fine till I logged off of Guild Wars a few hours ago and as I logged off NOD32 updated and I wasn't able to get in. I didn't peice it together till I read this. Thx again.

I had this problem too, until just some sec's ago....
1: Go to "Control Panel"
2: press "Add or Remove Programs"
3: scroll down to Guild Wars and press "Change/remove"
(a new Guild wars window will open"
4: press ">Reinstall Guild Wars to its current location"
(it takes a cupple of sec's, u connect to arenanet and ur done)
5: try logging into guild wars again
*that was what worked for me*

i also had this problem. i ended up turning off EMON, the outlook monitor in nod32 and it works. This isn't a problem for me since i don't use outlook. I'm also not sure if there is a way to exclude certain files through emon. hope this helps

Anyone still getting this problem?
I have had this now all day, and its very frustrating.
I don't have NOD32, I use AVG.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
